Yes. Sidemount would be preferable, but you can go a reasonable distance in backmount.

It's a ***** to get into it because the flow is rippin. It may spit you out a few times before you can get in. Sidemount would be better to go farther in there. Last time I was there, the lines were old.

We went backmount once in a team of 4, it stuck in my memory for awhile ... Be seriously careful with tons of broken beer bottles at the entrance - gloves may help.

It's been a while since I've done it but I remember a pretty tight fissure crack and while you can do it, it would be a lot more fun in sidemount. Ditto on the flow and broken bottles.

Dove it earlier this summer when the river levels were very low. The low river level didn't seem to have an impact on the flow at all. Seemed to me to be as strong as ever. As mentioned, lots of "crap" in around the entrance. I dove it wet with 95's, which is WAY too much tank for the this system in backmount but the extra weight helped, especially on the way out. Imagine coming out of the chimney at the Devils Eye with twice as much flow as normal. Somewhat of an emblishement here but the points well made. Your exit can be exciting give the small size of the opening and the high flow. Dump ALL your air and crawl out, if that's possible!

If anything, I would expect more flow in a river cave with a low river level due to diminished hydrostatic pressure pushing on the vent/cave system. A higher river level usually means less flow....of course this is not a hard and fast rule, just a general rule of thumb. All depends on how much the aquifer is "charged".

You're right. The flow should be higher but the aquifer is so depleted at the moment.

It is tough to get in. On your way in look for a place to land temporarily when it shoots you out. It is easy to ascend too fast on the way out. Don't be surprised if the lines are very old and buried under sand and rock in some places.
Not a system for inexperienced folks if any happen to read this thread.

Backmount is a bit tight in places. I did not have too much trouble getting in the system. During the exit though I got pinned for a brief time though. Since its pretty small getting in and out watch out for the pile of sand up on the side as you first get in as you can change the hydrostatic flow and I know one team that had it come down on them. Its an interesting system. The river water might be getting a bit cold though as you exit.
