I don't know if there is "gold line" but there certainly is "mungy brown line" between Catfish and the Head Spring.

I'm confused?? Did you mean the flow was down enough to mean it was almost effortless to swim to Sue's? There's really been no "swimming" associated with the trip from Catfish to the headspring, more like "hold on for the ride" and "don't get keyholed" are phrases I would normally associate with that portion of the dive.

How was the vis? Manatee is one of my favorites, as weird as that might sound.

"Swim into the headspring" generally means that - from the spring run, swim into the spring toward Catfish.

If so, wow. I've never seen it like that - sounds like Jackson Blue right now.

Yes, at least on Monday afternoon (combined with incoming tide) made the swim in to the head spring as easy as I think I've ever seen. That was not the case when I was there a month ago.
And I would say the overall vis was around 60 feet.
