Poor me, All my cave regs are DR 1208/2015. Kinda like Russell said, some can't tell the difference. It had been a long time since I dove anything but the DR's. Met some friends in SoFL today and went out from WPB. and dove my salt water gear which includes my Atomics Pretty noticeable difference.

However, thus far my DR's have proven themselves to be reliable, simple to service and easy to get parts for. Since I am not presently affiliated with any dealers, it is unlikely that I am going to change the stable of cave regs any time soon.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I agree with Russell - you spend way too much time on deco regs to want to tolerate a low performance reg. I use MK 9 or MK 10 first stages to maintain common regs for stage or deco use, but all of them have G250 or G250V second stages on them.

    Apeks DS4/TX40.

I am pretty well standardized - all of my regs are DS4/TX40's or DST/TX50's.

I also use this but I think the 2nd stage is the octo version of the R190. It breathes OK but not good enough for me to buy another one.

    Safe diving,

A bit of a hijack, sorry! Forrest, I also have a bunch of old Poseidon regs. Several 2960 series which I do not use for enritched mixes as the diaphrams are made from old tires. Love them, well over twenty years of good service, but not for O2. I also have several of the 3950 first stages. Fine for O2, I hope.

Jetstream or Cyclon seconds. So what am I missing? Other than bronze filters, the lack of which could kill the project, I have thought them reliable, and reasonable performers.

The Apex first stage on my ccr has the delightful atribute of increasing the IP as the depth increases. Class act?

It looks like I require another O2 compatible reg soon. Scuba pro are great, but after almost 30 years of fixing my own, not keen on the protection racket. I have one green Poseidon extreame. Expensive and I am worried about putting more money into a company that seems to hate North America.

So just what is an old man to do?

I have the Dacor "super top of the line overbuilt" reg they made years ago, can't remember the name of it. It has 2 swivels and the ends swivel, for no real reason I see.
I use it because 1, it cost me $75 and 2, it weighs a ton and keeps the deco bottle on bottom. After 8 years it has proved to be bullet proof, and economical.

I think I know that reg. If it is the one I am thinking of (with a swivel on each end with 90 degree swivels on them) I believe I counted 23 O rings in that thing.
