Right click on the image, and click "properties". Then highlight the URL, and press ctrl+C (if you have a windows computer).

You need a URL to link to an image. But if you have an image to actually upload, you need to upload it to a site that can host it so that it has a URL.

That would work, but we host cavediving images here, and you can put them in a post as an attachment.

Is that why some people have a pic in the post and some just show a link?

There is no reason for a link. Even if the image is on another server, you can imbed the image in the post. Just click on the icon that looks like a tiny painting. When you move the cursor over it, it says "insert image". Then click the "URL" tab and type in the URL, or paste it, if you use my technique in post #2.

Ok, to further complicate this, I was trying to do all this from my iPhone so no right clicking nor do I know another way to find the URL. Would Taptalk help?
