Giselle and I geared up Sunday afternoon at P1 for a dive up the Olsen line. A storm was brewin' by the time we got everything together, and we entered in a bit of a rain storm. Vis was as cracking up to pothole, but about 200' past pothole the temperature increased a few degrees, and vis got a little cloudy (dropped to 50'ish). These conditions persisted as far as we went up the Olsen line, but went right back to normal (vis and temp) at 200' from pothole on the way back.
My theory is it has to do with the rain forcing warmer ground water through the limestone. This was my first time past that point, so for all I know it's always that way (doubt it). Does anyone have and idea what caused this?
