Cliff's notes:

Nestle says the seasonal reduction in flow isn't enough for sustainable pumping at Allen Springs.

The Save the Wacissa group will continue to educate and protect the springs.



My notes:

The entire areas in a drought, and the Wacissa Springs don't generally flow an awefull lot anyway, so a big NO ****.

A big F U to Nestle, now if only they'd only pull out of Lee.

At the very least, agricultural and municipal pumping doesn't leave the area.

Ok, so I'm going to add my two cents. I don't really care which way you go, I'm not passionate either way. But, the water is filtered before it enters the ground well. The ground well is filled with at times.... dogs, cats, birds, snakes, deer, cows. (just what i've personally witnessed).

From the ground well, the water is pumped into a water tower to supply the pressure to the houses. The pumps that supply thousands upon thousands of gallons are the size of my van. Needless to say, the mangled critter gets pumped into the water tank with the water. Sure, there's enough chlorine to bleach a football stadium, but when we remove these "critters", it leaves a lasting impact. One that doesn't allow for the consumption of tap water.

What do you know about milk? Goat milk in particular...

Ok, the only thing I know about goat milk is what I learned from my childhood as a farmer. It's thicker than cow's milk. It doesn't need to be pastuerized. Goats are mean. Their milk is gross. Or maybe it's because I hated milking goats.

I like the cheese. I'm glad we got off of that health kick.
