Nestle bottles it up, and ships it out. Damn the ecosystems that rely on freshwater in the area?
Municipal and agricultural pumping doesn't allow the water to get to the spring,so the water never gets to the area, hence indirectly it left the area. Due to high levels of pumping in Jacksonville,it is felt this is the reason White springs doesn't flow, and may be having an impact on Peacock. With agricultural pumping technically this water leaves the area in evaporation. When the center pivots are pumping the large quantities of water during the high point of the day, somewhere around 40-50% goes to evaporation. I am not a fan of bottled water,it has been a fad since the 20s,and presently leaves our landfills filled with plastic, but if people want to look at what is causing many of our springs to be dying, then look at the whole picture.

Its sheer utter BS that we use potable water to flush urine and turds. That people use potable water to water their lawns, wash their cars etc etc. Bottling it to drink or water gardens might impact things as well but sure sounds alot more understanding.

In Clearwater, my parents now have access to non-potable city water. It would be pretty cool if a house was built to use that water for toilets... the rest it wouldn't be hard to do.
