I don't know what you are calling a monster, but we saw a huge Cotton Mouth laying on the bottom just inside the mouth of Telford yesterday.

Is it the same monster from The Cave? (which I still haven't seen...)

I suspect so, since I know for sure the "ghost" was there

Hey Coop, I didn't know you were down in FL. See you in Sept.

That would be a monster to me! We Vermonters aren't used to great big snakes. Especially the poisonous ones!

I've been down two times since June. I spent one week doing my OW CCR with Lamar on the O2ptima and I was back last week for the Cave CCR part. Made my 100th cave dive since my full certification on Sat. with Lamar on the O2ptima. We went to Peacock and did a 4500' circuit. We went down the Peanut side almost to the Peanut restriction and then turned back towards the direction of Cisteen and came back out the mainline. It was a great time and to top it off... I just turned 50 yesterday. That was my B-day present to myself... A rebreather, training and the Big 100 right at the Big 50. (ha) I must say... It was one of the best birthdays I've ever had! Guess I will have to redraw my avitar with a rebreather now.

I'll be back in FL in a short. I'm going to try out the new Rev D and Q4.

I would love to make the Midwest workshop, but I have a wreck trip scheduled that week in NC. Sorry about that. It was an oversight.

Who are you diving with in NC and what wrecks? I have not been wreck diving off NC for too long, but want to go back sooner rather than later...

I'm diving with a couple friends from our local shop. No tec dives...Just easy recreational stuff. I didn't put the trip together. I just signed up to tag along. I've wanted to go for some time and the opportunity came up. I'm not even sure which wrecks we are diving. I believe one is a U-boat. I was promised that Tiger Sharks would be one of the attractions, and I thought it would be fun to shoot some video and photos. I believe we are diving out of the Olympus Dive Center.
