I would venture to say I an in better shape than most people I dive with. And I am the one who turns most of the dives. While I think being in good shape allows your body to breath more efficiently. I do believe being calm and relaxed in the cave had the largest impact in sac. Although edd is in good shape I know I can run circles around him but his gas consumption is a little more than half of mine. That I believe cones from his relaxed attitude in the cave.

    That and massive skip breathing

I've probably got at least 50 cave diving photos with Ben in them, and there aren't any bubbles coming out of him in any of them.

But Ben has learned to breath with Edd. They don't skip breath, rather just don't breath. I too think it has more to do with being relaxed in the cave. If I run a mile same speed as I dive that mile in a cave, my rate is higher walking or running.
