Roubidoux (MO) 7/17-18/2011

Just curious,... are there any published maps of Roubidoux? I would be curious to have an idea of what the system looks like. I know the map of Cannonball in very interesting.

There is a very good published map, but beyond being a curiosity it is not very helpful for us normal divers who stay within the first 1500 ft. of the entrance. The cave is so long and so deep once you get to the lower tunnel that only those on scooters and/or willing to do extended deco see the bulk of the cave. So the full map is a line drawing of which only the first few inches cover what we will see on our dives.

An enlarged and detailed map of the upper tunnel would really be helpful. Sounds like a good cave mapping class project, huh Ed?

This is an old version of a RBD map. The OCDA has a very impressive map with much more detail; the OCDA map is for sale.
