Default WTS Dive Rite Dual Rec Wing. WTB Dive Rite Classic Bladder.

WTS: Dual Rec Wing - $200

Got it from Stairman, used it once and found out I needed more lift for my 104s. I sink like a rock and dive wet. If you are a bit less sinky than I am, or diving 95s or similar, you should be fine. In great shape. Has the dual bladders/inflators for redundancy if you are diving wet.

    WTB: Classic Bladder.

Dive Rite was unable/unwilling to replace the weld failed bladder in my classic wings (despite them stating the would, and that it was covered under warranty for life). The did offer to used them to trade in for new wings, but wouldn't let me use the two failed wings for one new one. Basically would have given me $150 off of each new wing. Anyways, if these weren't just backup wings anyways, I would probably have taken the offer. Regardless, if anyone has a replacement bladder, let me know what you want for it.

I will be up in High Springs and Luraville areas next weekend, and can drop off/pick up at CEE, CE, DO, Amigos, where ever.

Just to clarify, I am not looking for an entire wing, just the air bladder inside the wing.

Have you talked to Kathleen at DR about it? They are ususlly more than accomodating for things like that.

No, I emailed back and forth with a guy named Mike. I was really surprised first that they were going to fix these old wings, and second that they were not going to fix these old wings! I totally expected to have to purchase replacement bladders.

Here is the gist of it:
    Mike said:
"As long as there is not any type of adhesive that has been applied to it, this is something that will be replaced under warranty for just the cost of shipping."

So I told them the wings are old, and inquired about how long the warranty was on them, and got:

"If it is determined to be a weld failure on the bladder, they are covered for the life of the wing."

So I shipped them in. Then got a call telling me they didn't have the parts to fix them, but I could take a credit on a new wing. So I told them to ship them back.

Anyways, not a big deal. A minor waste of time and a few bucks.

Did the weld seperate at the elbow? I had a couple of really old wings that did that after sitting unused for a few years. Unfortunately, those bladders are no longer manufactured so I just bought a new classic EXP wing. I can't complain about a failure on a wing that is almost 20 years old.

Don't know the age on them exactly. The two oldest of them still work perfect. These were the newest classic wings I had. Yes that is where they separated. I agree, I can't complain about them not fixing them, and I'm not. I am complaining about having to pack them up and pay for shipping because the told me something that was not the case.

Just about all bladders are the same in DR. I replaced a rec bladder with a classic and to my surprise they were the same size.
They just use the bigger bladder in a smaller cover.
