Default Phase II WSPSSP Interpretive trail

The NFSA has entered phase II of the interpretive trail at Wes Skiles Peacock Springs State Park.

Phase II consists of adding up to 20 plant identification panels on the interpretive trail. These panels, an example shown below help people to identify the many different plants and trees that are in the park, and along the trail.

Anyone who wants to sponsor a Plant ID panel should visit The NFSA Website and follow the PayPal link for sponsoring a panel.

Jim, this is nice, but I believe that signs for fauna should be up there with signs for flora. You know, pictures of ticks, redbugs, chiggers, rabid racoons, rattlesnakes, cottonmouths, palmetto bugs, leaches, and of course, the various species of the official Florida bird, the mosquito.

If two others want to go in on sponsoring a panel let me know. The panels appear to be $375 each for sponsoring one, so it would be $125 each.

PM me here or contact me via email: cave-diver@comcast.net

    Default Alligator?

What happened to the sign warning about 'gators on the boardwalk to PI? I loved the no open water divers and the danger alligator signs.

I'll sponsor the water moccasin one. Do you need a picture of one with its head severed by a hoe?

I will join you.... do you think we can sponsor the alligator one? I really want that one or duckweed. Have not checked out our other choices yet.

OK, apparently these are not options..... I am still in.... what were you thinking?

The interpretive trail has entered the phase that installs the plant Id panels. This is a great opportunity to leave a personal legacy in the park, because your name will be listed on the panel itself as a sponsor, and this is a permenant fixture on the trail. The above picture is an example of what the panel will look like, and this will be affixed to an aesthetic base on the trail made with sturdy 4 x 4s.
This link will show more about locations http://www.northfloridaspringsallian...nels-Flyer.pdf
The state of Florida has declared the trail already as one of the best interpretive trails in the state, now we are making it one step better. This is not a fund raiser for the NFSA,but cost of the project. If you have more questions, please PM me and I will be happy to give you more details. Thank you for your consideration

I have sent you a PM regarding this. I will note that the signage that was originally planned for this original donation isn't acceptable by the state parks, which was wire framed sign. What they insist on is rhino board material, with stand that meets standards seen at other parks
