OK, let me see if I have this straight. If I take my 15 year old Audi, with 225,000 miles, no gas, no A/C, bad tires, broken electric windows and 12 more payments to LR, and leave my keys in the gas door............ Just sayin.

I'm going to be the first to accuse you of contributing to cave trash. You don't deserve to be a cave diver.

My Ford Escape keypad failed at Jackson Blue and I had to get rescued by a GA Bronco with a jimmy bar..... love the keypad but keep a valet key just in case......

I drive a Ford Expedition. On Saturday I had to enter my code three times to get the door to open. Got me thinking that an extra key would be a smart move.

For the guys with hitch key safes - after driving around in the back country for a while are you still able to get the lock open or does it get gummed up with grit?

I've been called a lot of things, but "GA Bronco?" That's a new one on me.

And yes, I keep a slim jim in the Blazer. I've only run across two vehicles it wouldn't open. And one was a year or so ago at Jackson Blue. But yours was a piece of cake.

Just pull one of your tires and leave it at your last deco stop. Buoyancy might present s challenge. But who cares.

Some of us just let Artic Mike lock them up in the car.
