Default Important Notice about Peacock Springs State park

The park was hit by some high winds, and at the present time there is no vehicular traffic to Peacock 1-3 area, but Orange Grove is available. There will be crews out tomorrow to clear the road to get Peacock road cleared. Please be patient, and give them time to complete their job. Thanks and we will keep you updated. NFSA

Thanks for the post, Kelly. You beat me to posting about the fallen tree. My class and I were exiting WSPSSP from Peacock 1 when we came across the tree that had fallen across the road.

How long do they expect it to take to reopen? I am scheduled to do intro there this weekend.

So is your truck still stuck in the park?

And I thought I only needed a chain saw for the river caves. Apparently, I just need to make a permanent spot for it in my van!

    Rob,

I was thinking about our conversation last week about having a chain saw (and a back-up chain saw) as part of essential cave diver gear when I came across this with my class this afternoon.
No my truck and my students' vehicles are not still there; we made it out via another exit.

Yeah, but the tunnels aren't really big enough for the truck.
