    Default Oriskany Dive 5/25/11

My budy and I are heading to the NSS-CDS workshop end of May. We are planning a tech dive on the Oriskany for Wednesday May 25th. We need at least two more divers to make the trip. Let me know if you would like to go. Planning a dive to the hanger deck.

What is the best site for learning more about tech diving on this wreck? I've seen a few sites that run trips to it, but they did not give much detail.

Ask your captain, but many will require you to file a written dive plan for tech dives.

Tim and I are trying to set this up and I'm thinking that we can easily get at least two other divers who will be in the area anyway for the CDS workshop.
    Let Tim know...

    Greetings,

My Cave Buddy, his wife and I just finished our Advanced Deco/Nitrox class with Horizon Divers. We were exceptionally impressed by the instructors and their Technical Diving knowledge. I would highly recommend that you email Doug (owner of HD) and I have a feeling he would be more than happy to share any information about the dive, deco plans etc...

They also have all types of gas etc...

Ummmm... you do realize that HD is in the Keys, which is about a 12-15 hour drive from Pensacola, where the Oriskany is, right?

    Of course

Then again free information and input from local Tech Divers is always precious regardless of distance.

The Oriskany is located off Pensacola. The Vandenburg is off Key West.
