I think it's interesting that many shops in states where it isn't required seem to not bother with third party analysis...if it wasn't required in Florida i'd still only shop where it was done. CO is only one possible contaminant gas, nice to have numbers for the others. The Spree posted to scuba board that they used their analysis results to look into causes...what a forward looking concept.

If you believe asking for online posting is bullying we'll just have to disagree on that point.
The shops that i primarily deal with have been receptive to these ideas and have not given me anywhere near the negative reactions that you'all have.

Step 1. is FREE. Step 2 costs around 600. I've yet to read a logical reason for not publishing results to the net.

    1. post air quality results on the net
    2. install an inline CO detector

just like god, customers can also say "No" and then spend money elsewhere.
I heard rumors about this thread but I can't believe that someone would push so hard to get certifications posted on the internet for shops they will never go to. If you walk into the shop and the certificate is there, read it and understand it. If you don't like it, go somewhere else. Yammering on the internet about a wish list of things you'd like is tiresome for those of us who read this stuff for entertainment. I have a wish list too - I want a gold plated crapper and peace in the middle east. I'm probably not gonna get mine either. But I know it. So I get my gas at a couple places that have been mentioned here, and I go diving. Instead of yammering on the internet about how I'd like shops to go beyond the legal requirements because I thing it's better. I'd rather just get in the water instead of reading some crap some tool from half a continent away stirred up about local shops.

Glad to see you bumped the thread
Another non-emotional, rational post from someone who can't stand the thought of consumer advocacy
Still waiting for a logical reason to NOT post results to the net
Does your shop have an inline CO monitor? Do you test your gas for CO?
Also glad to hear there are rumors about the thread...strange though, it's easy to log in and just read for oneself
