I just texted my buddy and told him we may not be able to dive Madison next weekend because "it's flooded"... and he said, "of course it's flooded. it's an underwater cave." lol.

I felt the need to share that.

What? Madison Blue flooded in the springtime? This is the first time I've ever heard of that happening!

Of course I am planning to fly down tomorrow. Any thoughts regarding Peacock for this weekend?

Peacock will be fine, unless there is another major rain in south GA. Nothing showing in the forcast for this weekend anyway.

If the river level doesn't reach the spring,it can still be adversely affected by some tannic vents. Commonly some areas in the Nicholson/Cisteen tunnel can get tannic, with stratified layers. Also, there is a section of the Waterhole tunnel, that will get real milky, and lower viz.

True, but 99% of the system will still be fine.

the Withlacoochee has risen 3 to 4 foot in the last week, the Suwannee has only risen one tenth in the past week and the Santa Fe has actually dropped.

so the caves on the Suwannee and Santa Fe should be good for several more weeks before we have to start worrying about when they will go under.
