    Talking North carolina/South carolina/Georgia

O.K. So im an old caver who finds himself back on his feet, right where these 3 states come together (North carolina/South carolina/Georgia). My little girl is getting old enough to romp around, and my wife is in better shape than ever. Who knows anything about caving within 2 or 3 hours of here..... approx... Greenville.?

I think im through with cave diving. I know this is a cave diving board, but im not sure where else to go. Im getting tired of hiking the mountains........ even a link to a local dry caving board would be appreciated.

Can a hole really exist? Or does the matierial around the hole exist, and unnecisarily imply the word "hole"?

    Good answer Rob.

There isn't much limestone in the Carolinas, and the closest in GA is near the TN/AL/GA state junction.

    The closest cave clubs are:

    South Carolina Interstate Grotto
    PO Box 1171
    Greer, SC, 29652-1171
    Publication: Tunnel Vision
    More Info

    Augusta Cave Masters
    4010 Brownstone Drive Apt 1120
    Evans, GA, 30809,
    Publication: Nineteenth Hole
    More Info

    Flittermouse Grotto
    P O BOX 1228
    Hudson, NC, 28638,
    Publication: Der Fledermaus
    More Info

Hook up (in the divng/outdoorsy sense) with Arctic Mike and Helodriver. They're in that area.

Land of Enchantment -- not so great for cave diving, but mighty scenic!

Also try hooking up with the guys in the Tampa Bay Grotto or FSS. They both seem pretty active in dry caving. TAG is definitely where it's at for dry caves! Enjoy!
