Default Madison Blue Springs State Park Clean-up on March 19, 2011

The NACD and the North Florida Springs Alliance need volunteers for a Madison Blue Clean-Up on Saturday, March 19, 2011, from 8:30 AM to 12:30. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Depending on the number of volunteers, we will work for 1/2 day on projects such as:
    1. caulking and paintng a roof
    2. sanding and prepping the rest/changing rooms for painting
    3. fixing the showers in the restrooms
    4. filling in potholes in the parking lot
    5. pressure cleaning the steps at Martz
    6. step repair/replacement

Christine Small with eco-Volunteer USA, a non-profit organization, helped us to put this project together. She indicated that park manangement was thrilled with the possibility of cave divers helping with projects around the park. The more volunteers we have, the more we can do for the park. Hope to see you at Madison in a month.

If you are interested, please contact me with an email at pr@safecavediving.com or call me on my cell at 229-873-0889. If you miss me, I will call you back that evening.

    Sandy Robinson

I'd love to participate, but March 19th is the 12 Hours of Sebring - a sacred rite of Spring for me since I was 6 years old. Maybe some other date, next time.

Thanks Tim, Matt, and Ben I'll keep you posted on materials. I know they have a pile of dirt for the holes Response has been good so far so we may be able to do several projects. I'll also talk to Kelly and get his thoughts.
