I know people will dis-agree, but when I teach others how to provide feedback one thing I try hard to drive home is this: It is your responsibility as a leader taking control to deliver feedback in a way that accomplishes your goal. Not the receivers responsibility to shift thru your poorly crafted verbal download to grab the one nugget of useful information you provided.

Is it correct? I have no earthly idea.

Rich-I'm hurt. All along I thought you knew "floridabob" was me, Bob Beckner. Sorry.

That does explain a lot, though....

I'm a 25 dive baby cave diver, so mainly read this forum to passively absorb information. The more I read, the more I realise I don't know.

However, what I do know a bit about is behavioural safety, particularly in how it affects safety on UK construction sites. I'm not a safety professional, but all too often have to pick up the pieces when things go wrong.

There is a concept called the 'mind gap' in safety coaching. This is the difference in the safety standards that people would publically declare they work to and the lower ones that they are actually prepared to work to in real life.

    Everyone has this gap.

Whilst I acknowledge any experienced person's advice on the rules, I really respect those who realise the gap exists and have the willpower to close it.

Damn and I gotta work! Let me know how the vis is, I've had some deep mix in my tanks for far too long!

I'll check on conditions in Tally, see what I can find out. BTW I'm diving Hart Tues afternoon, if you wanna go give me a shout. I'm diving with someone fairly new to the system so we'll be hanging on the gold, but it's still one of my favorite cave dives! TTYS

    Safe diving,

    Rich

It is interesting that some people complain about the rules here, but What Adam has described about other forums is exactly why we have rules here

The attitude is why I usually PM people with a question and/or a reply.
