i was lucky. tax time came around, and I was up on bills. it was a scooter or half of a breather. thought this was a better choice
I'm kind of afraid to start figuring what Tracy's horses have cost over the years - that falls under the category of "Don't ask questions that you don't want to know the answer to!" And it may be that if spending time, effort, and money on horses result in a happy wife, they've been a good investment.

Observations on the posts in this thread
1. The best thing that ever happened to me was divorcing my first wife.
2. The worst financial hit I ever took was with the same action. Among other things she got the house that was left to me by my family, and then she lost that... ( I hit somethings when I found that out)
3. The best thing that ever happened to my diving was my current wife giving up her diving.
4. I will get a scooter ... someday ... and keep my wife, my house, and my bank.
5. When I am mad enough to hit something without thinking, I've already lost, and I only stand to loose more at that point.
6. I loved my horses only a fraction of how much they loved me (or my apples anyway). They didn't care about my house, my wives, my bills, or any bones I had in a cast.
7. I am passionate about my cave diving, and the caves don't give a rat's ^$$ about me.
8. Last weekends dives ROCKED and I can't wait to get back.

I dont remember it? off course it was hard to concentrate with the intense pain in my right arm around my bicep
Man what did i do right! my wife of 21 years makes more money than me, dives, and just finished training on and bought a Revo like mine! of course, any one who knows me will say the women has no sense, she married you!
Holy crap, all this interesting information over a scooter...
We are happily married (26 years so far) and other than his breather and his doubles, EVERYTHING else in the scuba department is mine....must be why we are so happy...
Dive safe,
