Here is a copy of the email sent to the writer:

    Bob Arndorfer,

The image used in the article “Danger in paradise” is not Blue Grotto in Williston. It is from the Devil’s Ear @ Ginnie Springs. The dark tannic color is from were the river water mixes with the clear spring water.

This is a very popular image.

So, ... having scrutinized the article, pondered the subject, and added up all the apples and oranges, it appears that it is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS to fly a plane 3000 feet back into a cave in winter, overstreching a rubber band for guideline, to get a 100$ hamburger. Something is going to break.

Strange article... it guess the (rambling) point is that the outdoors can be dangerous in all kinds of ways.

And if i can't at least i will rich my 'cave bottle'

This article is to bring you to the right extreme direction. Once done with cave diving you might find your way buzzing clouds or having hypothermia in the middle of the storm in Blue Grotto. Or climb Mout Dora...

    Default The Most Dangerous Part...

that no amount of training, skill, discipline, or equipment can protect you... are the brain dead drivers you encounter on the roads during the drive home.

Just because I'm paranoid... doesn't mean they aren't out to get me...

Thank you Rich! *SIGH* ... I gather it will be around 250-some hours before I get back in the water ... 90 hours, if I'm really lucky. *BIIIG SIGH* At this stage, even deco sounds like lots of fun.

You guys missed the point. It isn't cave diving, flying or even the outdoors that is dangerous. It is Springtime!
