    Default Wing problems

I bought a dual nomad and like a dufus I was too trusting and didnt blow it up till I got home. Well now I have a single bladder. The ring that tightens up the snorkel is stripped out I hope. The inside threaded part is connected to the bladder I guess and Id hate to know what they want for that at Dive-rite. Yea, I learned a lesson here.

    Stairman,
Sorry to hijack your post, but hopefully this info is helpful. On Diverite wings there are three pieces that connect the corrugated hose connector to the wing.
    1. A threaded top hat piece that goes inside the bladder.
    2. A rubber gasket thing that fits over the top hat and seals to the bladder.
    3. A female connector that screws from the outside on the wing onto the threads of the top hat to seal the whole thing together.

What are the proper names for these pieces; so when I go to a dive shop or call Diverite I will know what to ask for?

Mark, all the parts are there and I cant see anything that looks stripped but the tophat just keeps turning. No Russell I bought it off a guy from CDF. The wing has never been dove and was still in the box from Cave Adventurers but somebody, including me, didnt QC it and I ended up with it. I doubt if the guy I got it from even knew but it would have made a difference in the final price which was 300.

Hello there and I feel your pain buddy! I did quite the same at a Tech tour week end.
I purchased a Classic wing that the one corner of the bladder did not fuse. It was brand new!
I pulled the junk bladder out and had it sent back to DR.
It took about a month and they sent me a new one.
I did the replacement and it is good as new.
Have you contacted DR about the issue? You may want to seek out a good LDS to send in the junk bladder and get another.
If you are having issues I may be able to help.
I have heard that recently some customer service issues have been difficult at DR.
Hopefully you do not have any trouble, let me know if I can help.

Ill do that. Im afraid its the male part that I think is fused to the bladder Since its the backup side it probably went un noticed. Ill have it looked at today by a diveshop tech and go from there. Not like Im needing it now but a warm weekend is bound to be coming.

Randy - I think this may be what you're looking for...

Scroll down this page to the price list:

Sounds like you want part #FXB2700

It's bad luck to be superstitious.
