Well it seems like the glow juice didnt break up as good as when I saw 2 years ago. I remember all the balls were about BB sized. Maybe its just the way it looked on video. I was wingless for the gathering so didnt attend. Ironically I bought my Nomad on New Years Day in High Springs. A day late and about 300 short. Hope all had fun.
Randy, you goofus, you knew I'd have my trailer with me and I carry three different wings...
We missed you!

Randy, There were probably half a dozen extra wings you could have used. We've been trying to dive together for years. You should have come. We for three (two of my daughters and me) had a great time at this years galaxy dive & social.

The video was much better than I thought it would be, but it still didn't do it justice. As always, 95% of the goop broke up into BB-sized drops, but there were a bunch of globs that were maybe a fluid ounce or more, and they are what showed up so well on the video. The tiny drops pretty much don't show up at all. The floor was covered. (We had 100 glow sticks emptied into a ziploc bag!)
Again, we missed you, Randy. We'll do this next year, and we hope to have more people.

That was a pretty good video of it - you can see the cloud a bit in the beginning, after that it seems that the only places the camera could pick up were where it was on the floor. Nice effect - like blue lava. Next year maybe red...
We are just back from the 2011 Cave Divers Forum Mini Social, and a great time was had by all. We had people come from near and far (Colorado), and for some, this was their first Social and Galaxy dive. We had a good turnout of about 30+ hardly souls.
We kicked things off with a cookout on New Years Eve (Friday evening) and a Chemglow/Galaxy dive in the Ginnie Ballroom. Thanks Mark S for the light show!
Russell (Slüdge) and BobK, aka our Social Director, kindly put on another cookout Saturday (New Years Day) with great hot dogs and burgers and a great chili was supplied by Mark S.
There were some door prizes, from our ever generous sponsors, and lots of folks won things.
The NACD set up an information booth.
Lots of people dived Ginnie throughout the day, and everyone seemed to have a great time.
For those of you that couldn't make it, there will be another Cave Divers Forum Social in 2011, dates TBD.
We would like to thank Russell and Bob for their tireless organizing these last few months. Thanks to everyone who brought food, drinks, snacks and ice (everyone donated something, we had quite a spread).
Also a big thank you to our sponsors who donated all the door prizes. Our sponsors this year were NACD, Ginnie Springs, Dayo Scuba and Amigos.
