Do you have records to show what Wes' NSS-CDS Cave Instructor # was...and the date he got it?
Just curious to see how contemporary our #'s/dates were, as we ran into each other all the time when teaching at the various sites in cave country, back in the 80's.....still hard to believe his wit and sense of humor are gone. I had a framed photo that I gave to Terri at his memorial service (I believe you saw it, I showed it to many who were there), taken in those days, that I think portrayed his sense of humor pretty well.....do I post it in the galleries section?
Mine was #143, Sept, '81, btw.....

You were #143, and Wes was #147. I don't have the dates. I had turned all that over to Wes, when he became Training Chairman, but it was all burned in a fire at Wes' place. If you weren't in the same institute with Wes, then he was probably in the next one, a few months later.
Must have been the one after...I seem to remember Pete Jubb and Bob Maufroy (sp?) being in my institute.
They both had higher numbers than Wes. Maybe you were in the same instutite with Wes??? We had a couple of big institutes around that time. Shoot me a PM with your email address. I have a log somewhere with all the early instructor's names and numbers in it. I have been looking in my card index, since it is handy.
