Met up with Doug and Larry to dive CB. The plan was to do the normal jumps in the upper section and then as we go around the top of the PIT to fan off some of the silt on the clay formations. Well as we got all our gear ready and to put on Lary's boat so we don't have to hike up and down the hill my HID would not fire. Since this is the first time I did not bring a back up Primary it just had to happen. L let me borrow a MLS system so I was in the middle on durinng the dive. D ran the line to the bucket and the first jump. Yes he does know where the jump is , LOL. Get back to main line and L takes the lead to run the next jump. To be fair I ran the line on the back jump from the pit to a small section. We get the silt fanned off the formations and just slowly worked out way out the main line picking up our reels.

The water temp in the cave was 59* and the temp for the lake tha twe got to do our short stop at was 56* yes you can tell a differnace. Total dive time was 87 minutes. We ended up haveing a great cool day with plenty of sun out.

Get the boat back on the trailier and started breaking our gear down and some guys from MI pull up and we introduced ourselfs sine they are cave divers. I can only remember one of their names, Kyle. He sais oh your SLIM and that Mr. Mike gave them a number to get ahold of me to help them find CB. Just to think that they found the road and the turn off is increadable. Well, he then said that I can forget the message he left for me. I went to the place to park if you have to hike down the hill and helped get them situated on the location of the entrance in the lake. I hope they found it.

Hope they relize that the vis was kind of messed up with the WORK we did in there. Before we did anything we might have had 12-15 foot of vis. Not to bad, have sen it wth most of 30. It can get even better I hear.

I know that it is not like th FL caves but from what they said it is 8 hours closer, LOL.

I sent you a PM about our dive following yours at Cannonball on Saturday. One more item--I've never been "attacked" by fish in fresh water before. What kind of fish are those that kept ramming into us (hands, chest, arms) in that system!

Sorry I forgot to tell you about the dangers of cave diving in CB. Most of the fish you saw that were attacking you all over. Well most of them were small Drum that found there way back with the warer water and will most likely stay in there and die. It is a cycle that happens off and on in there.
