I am left handed and turn the spool over with out thinking about fairly often.

So if a left handed person dives a right handed reel, does that mean you're DIL? I also wonder if that means the twist will go the other way? uinless you're south of the equator of coarse...

How are you taking the line back in? I primarily use spools and haven't had this issue.

Difficult to describe, but I wind the line round counting 10 or so turns then flip it over. The jumps here can be very long, and often most of the spool is out. Probably something to do with that.

I use stainless steel swivel for deep sea fishing (alan, Arte de pesca, corner of 30 avenue and 28 street, playa del carmen) I figured, if that thing can stand a marlin if fury, it can stand the tension I put on it..

While jumping between lines yes. I put line back on the spool on my way back. I find it less messy that way.

Mike is not all that good at putting line back on spools or reels unless it is on dry land. he is vry good at taking line off and leaving it in new systems.
