This year will be my third trip to Bonaire. This summer I met a diver who has been to Bonaire and he says there are caves there. Anybody know anything about that?

I've been in dry caves on Bonaire, but nothing submerged. It would appear that there are underwater caves there, as the NSS-CDS did a recon project there a while back (late 80s?). I believe John Burge headed it up.
'scuse me for a moment....
AHA! A little googling turned this up for you:

Scroll down and you'll find "Cave Diving & Snorkling on Bonaire."

The last thing I ever want to do is hurt you. But it's definitely on the list.
Did that this year. It was good they would not let you have fins or really (dive) in them. You had to go from rock to rock with just a mask and snorkle. We took some our cave lights and it was great. Its a lot of work getting into them too. Lot of fun. Hope this helps

There are cave (actually sump) dives there, but they are now in a state park, so access is limited to guided snorkle dives, or permits. There is a small cavern in the coral off Karpata bach, around 130' deep. It looks like you might wriggle into more cave, but without some skin protection, I wasn't willing to try.
