    Default Indian Springs 10-14-10

Gerri and I went into Indian last night and found these conditions:

From the surface to about 40 feet - 5 foot visibility, max.
From 40' to about 90 feet - 12 feet visibility
From 90 feet to the restriction - 20 feet visibility
Mud tunnel - I could see top to bottom, side to side probably 40 feet, with light milk in the water - looked like Hole in the Wall
At the tee - 40-50 feet with light milk
At about the 900 foot arrow upstream, the milk is dissipating and visibility improving
Past the first breakdown, about the 1100 foot arrow - 80-100 foot visibility milk is gone.
It is still not crackling clear, but it is pretty good.
I did not go downstream, however, I would expect it to be the same as at the tee.

There is a thick layer of fine silt over everything in the cavern.

    Cheers

Thank you for posting. hopefully the viz will improve. I'd really like to get a dive in Indian Springs soon. I've never been, but understand it is lots of fun.
