Hello Again - New to Tampa

Started out in Gainesville about five or six years ago, moved down to Ocala 3 1/2 years ago when my wife and I got married, and we just relocated to Tampa at the beginning of this summer. I've finally got some room to work on my gear again and am hoping to get back to some diving, at least a little bit. Tanks are out for hydro and VIP right now, and it'll take me a little while to patch things, clean things, rebuild things, etc., but I'm hoping to find some folks to dive with. My wife and I live in Lutz, off of Lutz Lake Fern Rd just East of the Suncoast Pkwy.

I'm full cave and advanced trimix certified and dive back-mount, OC. No issues diving places without picnic tables.

I've been reading through floridacaves.com a bit and - not having ever really looked at what's down around Tampa - am pleasantly surprised at how much there seems to be down here. I'm guessing if you know a few people there's even more...

In any case, hello again!

Welcome to Tampa...There are quite a few great dive sites in our area. You can check out http://caves.tampadiving.com as well.

Since Bert shut down we are diving out of Diver's Supply on Gunn Highway (North Tampa)...

I actually bought my daughter a snorkeling set over there at the beginning of the summer. The guy I talked to when I was there mentioned something about getting (tech/cave) folks together once a month or so - any idea if that's happening and when?
