    There's 11...
I think I'd be embarrassed to count the eye/ear and p1/og as 2 caves. Without trimix, buford and en don't work, so that's only 7 caves. With the 2 scott mentioned that's 9, looks to me like unless you go to mexico there's only 9 caves available in Florida for those of us who live out of cave country.

People will say I'm crazy, but I think it should be 25 systems, with 45min bottom time. Then again, I guess if something is "to hard" to achieve, we should lower the bar... Sounds like public education...

Are Vortex and Morrison's countable as cave systems? Vortex seems that it should be but Morrison seems to be more of a cavern.

Back in my day it was ten "entrances," so you could count these as two each. But my instructor insisted on ten systems.

He also insisted on at least one system most cave divers haven't dived. (Mine was Callaway Blue in Harris County, Georgia.)

what's the point of the bloody things anyway?
you get one of these things by mailing a logbook page. someone signs off and you're free to go dive some beautiful system with no one ever having seen you in the water.

    maybe it's my cynicism showing...

I actually asked a person who was on the board when this came about way back when. The original reason was to show the state that we have __ number of cave divers who have done tons of diving safely. It wasn't supposed to prove yourself ready for ___________ or _______ but rather be used as a tool to convince the state that trained cave divers can safely cave dive.
