The Quarry Preserve Project was approved yesterday. So with > 5000 new home sites coming, the blue water of the Chaz will soon be forgotten. Just thought I would add this to the thread since people like Buford, The Nest, etc.

The following uses were requested as part of the Quarry Preserve PDD designation:

• Up to 5,800 dwelling units with age restricted housing not exceeding 1,300 units
• Up to 200 lodging units
• Up to 850,000 square feet of industrial / office park uses
• Up to 545,000 square feet of neighborhood and community retail uses, with up to 325,000 square feet to be allocated to highway commercial and the remainder to be internally located in a town center
• Up to three golf courses totaling 54 holes and ancillary facilities
• School facilities and park amenities
• Appropriate levels of institutional, service, cultural, and social facilities.

Think it would be worth getting water samples there on regular intervals so we can show the pollution increase as construction starts...?

This is another good one - SunWest Harbourtowne...A couple thousand homes just minutes from The Jewel, Double Keyhole and Wayne's World. Oh yeah, the USGS is on record (for the SunWest DRI) that The Jewel doesn't exist...

Plans for SunWest Harbourtowne include:

• Approximately 2,500 units plus hotel
• Championship golf course
• Hotel with conference center and health spa
• Marina and
• Marina Village shopping
