Default Possible social in the washington DC area ?

As I read in jealousy about this weekend's social it occurred to my buddy and I to take the matter in our own hands. So dear CDF folk, are there enough of us, AND interest in having a social around the Washington DC area ? Maybe this fall?

It won't be the first time there has been a CDF social outside of FL. There was at least one in Missouri, and in Tennessee. I personally know 5 CDF members in the DC area, and I have seen others on here.

If you have it at Strassburg quarry, you can get in a cave dive
    No, I am not joking.

    Well that would be fun!
I figured it was not a novel idea, but thought I would probe around to see if there was interest. Let's see how it develops!
.. eeehhh...more on the quarry Forrest?

I alternate between FL and DC about every 3-4 weeks, so I might could attend...I usually fly into DCA though, so it would have to be metro accessible. When/If a hurricane hits, I'll fly up to DC for at least a month to stay with the gf, but I work from home, so I'm reasonably flexible unless I have a client meeting (that would have to be in Orlando).

I might could attend also. I almost never go to DC anymore but would just for the social part of it. It's easy enough for me to get to DC when I'm stateside.

What about if someone familiar with dry caves took us on a dry cave tour? I'd LOVE to do that!

I am in. I live just about half an hour away from DC.

Forrest has a good point. There are places to dive in caves within an hr of DC if anyone wants to go that route. Plus a lot of dry caves, everything from commercail guided tours to small stuff. Strassburg has been on my list. Also, Half-moon-beach has one, but there are a lot of hoops to jump through to get into that one.

James - I work out of DCA sometimes, so if you need a ride, i can hook you up.

I can help lay groundwork if this is something ya'll want to do.
