Here’s a way to help with the oiled birds if you are interested. A church in town, Unity of Gainesville Church, is taking donations that they will then take to Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary near St. Pete, which is helping birds. Items they can use?

Heavy duty gloves

· Blankets

· Linen

· New toothbrushes

· Shovels

· Rakes

· Buckets

· Animal crates

· Small kennels

· Large plastic trash bags

· Dawn detergent

· Pepto-Bismol

· Gatorade



If you would like to contribute, take the items to Unity of Gainesville Church, 8801 NW 39th Ave, Gainesville. Someone is usually there all day, but it is fine to leave things by the door if it happens that no one is there when you happen to arrive. If you should need their phone number it is 352-373-1030
