Default Emergence du Ressel in 3D

    Hi,
my name is Alberto Mantovani, I am the CEO of DiveNav, the developer of the eDiving scuba diving simulator .... and I am new here

I just wanted to let You know that we just released the virtual dive site of the first 180 meters of the Emergence du Ressel cave.

The 3D model of the cave is based on the research conducted by Markus A. Schafheutle.

If anyone of you out there knows Markus, please show him our virtual dive site of the Ressel cave and thank him on my behalf.

    Alberto (aka eDiver)
    P.S.
If you would like to see other caves in 3D (and have good maps for them) ... let me know

Gross me out, dude. Some cave divers eat barbecue that was actually smoked with oak and hickory. Which, by the way, is the definition of barbecue.

(Sonny's bakes their "barbecue" in a gas oven and then pours sauce on it that contains "imitation smoke flavoring.")

Not at all ..... it is just a 3D model of a cave ... that shows up in your computer monitor .... but if You don't wear your virtual mask and turn on your virtual flashlight .... you will just see a black-screen.

It is a scuba diving simulator. You can use it to check out real places before going there (we have dive sites in California, Florida, Cozumel, Wisconsin and France) and to practice with gear (lot of dive computers and rebreather)

Yes ... but .... Intel 's powered Macs with Parallel/Boothcamp and Windows (we use DirectX for 3D rendering)

As of now we have ~8600 users.

As of toady (October 7, 2010) you can penetrate the (virtual) Ressel cave for 740 meters to a maximum depth of 58m/190ft!

Make sure you have tech diving gear on you
