    Thumbs up Workshop

Due to work I would have only been able to attend one day. So I didn't go. I wanted to and plan on going next year. I like it because I can pick and choose what I want to attend and dive in between if I want.
I think it's great that we as cave divers can come together as a whole. Alot of work is done to make it happen. For the folks who think it should be done differently maybe they should help and get involved? You can never please everyone. Just a thought.
    Looking forward to next year!

Well, in my case, it's backroads for most of the journey. (Ohio)

?? I-75 to I-71 to I-65 takes you all the way to Montgomery, AL. US231 is 4 lane all the way down (~100miles) from there. There is the 10 miles or so of back roads to get from 231 into Marianna. FWIW, 12 hours from here (just across the river from Cincinnati) to Marianna and Lake City, at least it is for me.

I came back from Marianna in March, and most of my drive time was in Alabama which was non-expressway. Took as much time go through Alabama as it did to go through KY, TN and upper GA. Between stoplights and little burgs it was a PITA.

You probably didn't take 231 to I-65 then...

There's lots of ways to get from Marianna to Ohio.

My guess is, since you came down to cave country first, when you left Marianna you took a route that got you back to the way you came. Since Marianna is well west of cave country, it would have been much better to take I-65 all the way to Louisville. Then it would have been four-lane or interstate all the way, except for the first ten miles.

I could not make the schedule work since I live in NY and just two weeks earlier spent one week cave diving in NFL and a second consecutive week in Mexico...awesome!
