That isn't really DOS, it looks more like UNIX.

FWIW, once you type "cd images", the mouse works again.

Indeed it does... with a custom shell prompt (ie. not the standard Bourne or Korn shell prompt). But most of the cmds are UNIX cmds. Some are also available in DOS. I never used "dir" in Korn Shell, always "ls". But it is there.

That was what I was getting at. Clicking on those links gets you to his images and his Flickr page (as well as the photos on CDF he's loaded).

The purpose of a webpage is to implement Command Line Interface simulation for web browser. Nothing is more flexible that CLI user interface if you know what you do. I built prototype and left it alone years ago. Siblings of this prototype are now used in my work applications to implement administrating tasks such as users monitoring, system status, looking into application logs, building custom report etc. - everything that should be hidden from regular user and allow fast extension of the features without change in design. That saves a lot of time in development cycle on a live system.

Offtopic escape: I know a place with very old sign - all rusted so you cannot read it well. It had a cave diving fatality near by just recently. We can replace it with a new one and sell the old one to collectors to benefit CDS (given that CDS can provide a new sign).

For me a webpage has to be viewable by everybody without any difficulty. Surfing the web is already full of traps (virus, spams) to add command lines is keeping it for a selective sets of eyes. It's fine too, as long as you don't want too many viewers!

Lots of auto-mechanics drive 15yrs old Civics with parts attached by bungees. Looks ugly but it is an extension of their body and like nothing else around.

Send Jim Wyatt a request, he is the NSS-CDS safety officer.
