I was thinking a slow entrance through the eye after dropping an O2 bottle and running a primary to the gold line.

    Thoughts?

    Advantages?

    Disadvantages?

    Thanks in advance.

    Default Scooter dive at Ginnie

I've always enjoyed deco much more in the eye. If your doing a longer dive I'd say the eye would be better due to deco spot available and less flow to contend with.
    My 2 cents

Yes, that's the way to go. People enter the Ear because it's a much quicker entry. But I would never encourage anyone to break the rules.

I go in the eye, I mostly push my scooter ahead of me so as not to damage the cave. When I get to that tunnel I open up till I get to the main line, hugging the wall on my right.
I exit the same way. Hugging the wall on my left. I have a Mako and can"t manipulate it thru the ear. Thats just me.

I figured it out shortly after the post. I deleted the message as I didn't want to look stupid. Sorry about that.

If you're like me and have problems clearing your ears, entering through the Eye is much more "ear-friendly", though it does take longer to get to the gold line. Also easier to do a more gradual exit, with good areas for 50' and 30' stops, if you're into that sort of deco.

Hell, Russell, I've noticed a tendency for almost ALL divers to enter the ear and exit the eye...
