Hey Rob, I have an 80286 desktop with a monochrome monitor with a 10meg hard disk drive and a 5 1/4 inch floppy drive...will even throw in a math coprocessor, all for just $99.99, payed over $3k for it. Let me know, i can deliver to the High Springs area. Also have a 80386 but that's a little outside your budget constraint. Bill

Unfortunately on most Tech diving forums if you are not able to throw heaps of cash at a gear problem then they automatically tell you that you are not a serious diver and will get yourself hurt. This forum is one of the better ones when it comes to money issues. A few computers have already been posted so you should be able to find something that will work.

Most of us aren't made of money. Uwatech bottom timers can be had cheap, or use some cheap recreational computer that you can put in gauge mode. Actually, I think everyone I've dove with recently has only had an uwatech. Just me personally, but I would rather spend the money a computer costs on another scooter, extra stage bottles, camera housing for my SLR, or a dedicated set of trimix doubles. So yeah, I feel you on the computer cost issue, I can't justify the cost of one either.
