So, have they opened PC1 and OG for Cavern yet? Any idea how its coming in the basins?

Vis was not bad this past weekend. In fact much better than I expected. There was a little particulate in the OG and P1 system.
I dove P1 today. Mainline to Olsen sink, back to crossover and down the peanut line. The water temp was 68-69. The viz was 30' on the mainline and 40' on the peanut line. The peanut line seems to be clearing faster than the manline.

Dove P3 today. We went up the mailine and jumped to the parallel line. Viz was a dark 25-30'. The line had a lot of algae clumps that we tried to pull off. There was a considerable splice in the gold line between the 200'-400' line markers. The gold line was also very loose.

Dove one of my favorite dives yesterday (4/24), the Grand Traverse from Orange Grove to P1.
Viz in Orange Grove was great. We could clearly see the surface from the bottom. Viz from Orange Grove to Challenge was excellent. Viz from Challenge to Peanut restriction was a bit more tannic than normal, about 30 foot of viz. Viz from Peanut Restriction to Olsen was outstanding. Viz from Olsen to P1 was a bit more tannic than normal with about 40 foot of viz. Viz in P1 cavern was stunningly clear. Wow, that was the best part of the dive, coming up the Olsen line to that spectacular cavern view in P1.
I heard the Peanut Tunnel has viz that is back to normal. In all, Peacock is back to normal.
Water is a bit high, going up to the 4th or 5th stair at Orange Grove. I was gearing up at the bottom of the stairs at Orange Grove (I dive side-mount and put my tanks on in the water), and one of my monster low pressure 120 tanks sitting on the 3rd or 4th stair started to roll very slowly down the stairs (submerged in the water). Very slowly it rolled down, almost weightlessly from one stair to the next (low pressure 120’s are very buoyant tanks), then off the stairs, and then down, down to the bottom of Orange Grove. Too funny. I tried to grab it, but missed it by inches. Fortunately a team of two was already in the water and one of them retrieved the tank for me.
Before diving, Bill Rennaker helped me re-configure (for the umpteenth time) my side-mount configuration. Bill is such a helpful person, and has some great ideas. I felt privileged to have the opportunity to talk with someone about my gear configuration from someone who pioneered side-mount diving.
Mosquitoes were not that bad. I was expecting worse. maybe because it was early morning, but there just weren’t many. Not too many cars in the parking lot at P1 when I was loading the car. By the time I was leaving, there weren’t any cars except for mine and my buddy.

As a side note:
Bill has always been one of the few "pioneers" who is always willing to offer free advice to those that seek it. He has always remained easy to talk to no matter who is asking the question (new cavern diver, experienced cave explorer).
Glad to hear peacock is doing good.
