I am looking for a motor, prop and clutch.
I started collecting parts a few years ago to build a "drag scooter" for the great scooter race. I picked up the back end of a Farallon without a prop, a motor from a ride-on scooter that ran at like 2000 rpm, and a boat propeller that fit inside the shroud for the farallon. That's as far as I got - my wife bought me a Silent Submersion the next Christmas. I think I left the parts for my build in my Father's place in New Jersey a couple years ago - oh well!

The easiest, and most efficient homebuilt scooter would be to get an old Mako, or Tekna, and build your own hull, like Gavin did originally.
Matching the prop to the shroud is the biggest part of making an efficient scooter, and that is why Silent Submersion, and Halcyon use Mako parts.
You could also use a trolling motor and prop, but it won't be as efficient.
