    Whatever light you get, make sure you get some sort of goodman handle or 'glove' for it. It is going to be a pain to have a light you need to 'hold'.

    Also, one good advice is to get it in advance of your class, so you have time to take it out for a few times before your class if you have not been diving with light in hand a lot. It's a lot of new stuff during a course to add a light AND reel in the same go, not to mention getting little practice with signaling.

    Or not. Look in the archives for the "Moonfuzzy method."

    The first thing I did when I got a new light last week was pull the Goodman handle off.

    Whoever said money can't buy love never bought a puppy.
