Check to see if Cynthia's Penney's place is free in Live Oak....very reasonable and CLEAN! Satellite TV, wifi, comfy beds and a place to dry your gear. You can find her listing on the Lodging page under Resources on this site.

You will not need a tarp, sleeping bag and bug spray to stay in her cottage as Forrest noted for some of the other places you are researching. Close to Madison, lots of places to eat nearby and a quick hop south to Peacock if you are inclined.

Thanks for all the great tips on lodging!

My plan so far was to get up there on Friday night and then spend Saturday at the social diving and then down to High Springs on Sunday to dive Peacock, which is my favorite.
Only problem is I don't have a buddy for Peacock yet but I'm sure I'll be able to find someone.

Peacock is less than half the distance from Madison Blue as High Springs. You may consider a room at River Rendezvous, which is only a few miles from Peacock. Or see if there's any room at Dive Outpost.

Peacock is in Luraville; Ginnie is in High Springs area. Big distance in between.....

Woo hoo! After spending all week diving in Mexico caves, I can't wait to get back into "my home caves" and seeing all my buddies that couldn't make it to Mexico. Oh, did I mention I just got back from cave diving in Mexico?

A sidemount clinic, lunch, door prizes, cave diving, and good friends! That's an unbeatable combination!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!

    Thanks again!

I've made contact with Cynthia and will probably be staying at their cottage if it is still available. I also found a buddy that might have the same plan as I do!
Looks like it's going to work out great! This is one awesome forum!
