Default Mill Creek (Alachua)Sink...Good news and Bad....

I stopped by the sink yesterday to have a look at the basin. The good news is that the water level is almost to the last wide step. Those that have dove there the last couple of years knows how good that is!!! The bad news is that the water was very, very dark and tannic and looked as if there was a lot of particulate as well. It may be some time before conditions are favorable to dive there.

Has anyone dived it lately? It can be very bad in the sink, and great in the cave.

That's what I was thinking. When I dived it, the basin was just plain yuck, but the cave was sparkling.

I would be happy to take someone in to have the opportunity to do on the line to 120' and possibly freeze their asses off on deco with all the rainwater in there.
