I have got a good condition Mako scooter for sale. It has brand new batteries with only one dive on them. Never flooded. Comes with charger and wood support for transport. $950 takes it. It is located in South Florida but I can deliver to cave country. I'd rather not ship it. PM me

I personally know both SWADiver and the previous owner of this DPV. It has been well cared for during it's life.

swadiver was nice enough to let me use it when I was getting ready to buy a scooter. It works perfectly and is in great shape. He maintains his gear very well.

I'll bite... what is the difference between the rewound motor and the stock motor? How much is the upgrade? What is the endurance of this scooter? Where in SEFL?

Have cash, want a new toy.

Rewound motor is faster. this one is stock with brand new batteries. I am not sure of the cost to rewind the motor. you can check out Dpvrepair.com for more info on that. burn time is at least 1 hr 15 minutes. I am in SE Boca. PM me if you want to see it

We had a couple done last summer and the rewind was $395 and the rebuild itself was somthing like $350.

Stock Makos appear to vary a bit in terms of speed but are in the 650-750 rpm range while a rewound motor is normally 1000 rpm. 60-70 minute run times should not be a problem with a stock Mako. A rewound Mako will have a bit shorter run time if you run it at the faster speeds it is capable of, but the range is about the same.

Its a bit like flying 180, 250, 260 and 400 hp Commanches - they all cruise at the same airspeed when flown with power settings producing the same fuel burn.
