I called and spoke with Jerry briefly.

He says the Gavins are from Wakulla, he has three but only wants to sell two. He has two standard body and one short body. Motors draw around 1.1 amps and are supposedly very fast, he was getting 100-110 minutes of burn time on them. No batteries included, and these are PVC back ends. Motors will be warrantied only if George Irvine says it was a defect.

The stage bottles are aluminum 80's, three are out of hydro one might be in hydro, all have din valves.

Steel 72 hasn't been hydroed in 20 years, he claims they don't hydro them anymore. He says it has been visualed yearly and he does o2 fills in his garage with them.

Sounds like a nice enough guy, give him a call if he doesn't reply here or through PM's, he answers quickly.

    thanks gibby.
I'll give him a shout when I get some time. I'm interested in the standard. depending on the clutch and when he 'was getting' 100-110 minutes of burn

He said that "you never sell a gavin with batteries, it's just a DIR rule" or something to that effect. In other words, when you put in new batteries, you should be able to get his 110 minutes of burn.

Scooters sounded to be in great shape, some just rebuilt with new brushboards. He has a total of 5, and used to dive with the WKPP, so he's taken care of his stuff. He offered to let people test the scooters in his swimming pool if they desired. Sounded like a real nice guy.
