Peacock and LR flood levels?

Troy is tannic, maybe ~6' of viz... Ranger was nice enough to refund $15 so we could head to Peacock for some OW friends, where it was sparkling....

Dove Pot Hole Line to Nicholson to Cisteen today. Nicholson tunnel was "smokey" but absolutely beautiful . . . the cave was sparkling for us today !!

Oh man...I've been stuck in China for about three weeks for work. I'll be getting home on Christmas eve and heading down to Florida on Christmas for a deperately needed week of cave diving. I had a short break today and wanted to let my mind shift to pleasant things, like CAVE DIVING...and then I saw this thread....arghhhhh.

I really hope the systems hold out for the holiday week. (all my fingers and toes crossed)

They won't all blow out. The Sante Fe looks stable, so Devil's Eye, and JB should be fine, and probably Manatee.

Today 20 Dec water from P1 is still flowing toward P2/P3 - therefore toward the Suwannee - and a guess by observation would be that it would take at least another 2 feet or so of Suwannee River rise to flood P1. Today P3 was a typical P3 dive. What I don't know is if the syphoning of P3 would enter the entire system should the river reach P3's level before actually reaching P1.
Anyone know this?

There are numerous, but impassible passages connecting P1 to P3. When the flood poured into P3 the 1st day of the last flood, we were there, in P1, and noted the layer of tannic water rising from the floor of the peanut tunnel just beyond the sign. Park was closed the next day

Hopefully no flooding Peacock this month... I've got my fingers crossed.

We dove the cavern (down to 100') at Orange Grove yesterday. Viz was fantastic!

My wife was teaching a class there today and all was well. No big rains in the forecast, but South Georgia isn't drained yet...
