Props to Edd's chefs. The food today was awesome!

The New Year's Eve midnight dive was great! We got in the water shortly after 11 and headed into the cave. We ended up turning on time so we could make sure we were back at the cavern before midnight. Russell was already set up in the cavern doing the countdown. At midnight, the chemical light stick juice was released. We only had 20 sticks, but it lit up the cavern! It was like we were going warp speed through space in the Enterprise. Some of the stuff that settled on the floor of the cavern looked like lava. It was quite an experience! It was great to send out the old year and welcome the new one in my favorite place to be!

    Word!

After getting the procedure perfected at Ginnie over the past few years I was prepared to be disappointed. JB's cavern is so much bigger, and doesn't have the flow it's had in the past. So I stationed myself just inside the mouth of the cavern (where it first hits 30') and a few seconds before midnight I let loose on the glow juice. I was delighted (note the VERY good pun there) to find the specks of light almost completely enveloping the entire outer cavern, where everyone does deco. It truly rivaled last year's at Ginnie.

I didn't hear anyone getting out of the water with anything to say except Wow - that was GREAT!

We had 80 divers in ginnie at Thanksgiven and a 100 glow sticks. WOW.

Thank you. I believe those were mine. I got out of the water feeling ill, probably from a migraine, so I forgot them. I appreciate it!
