Thanks Russell, I'm already missing the dives and social. Hopefully I can pick up for the July social.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, all who volunteered to bring stuff. Unfortunately, due to the uncertainty of the state of the caves, the social has been cancelled.

What! Kind of early for that isn't it? Ginnie in general clears out pretty darn quick. Besides Jean and I don't need all those beans.

It's very disappointing, Cindy. I wish we could have waited until the last minute, but it takes a lot of planning to put together a social for fifty or sixty people. A lot of folks couldn't nail down that weekend with the state of the caves being questioned. A lot of people (instructors and such) who would have been instrumental in running the social, bringing food, donating items, etc., had to make the decision to move their operations up to the panhandle where the caves would definitely be divable. When people from my neck of the woods go to cave country they want to, for instance, dive four different caves in four days; going to Ginnie every day isn't their plan.

Trust me, nobody is more disappointed than me.

Come on over to Marianna. There's going to be a big event there, including the "fire" works display at midnight. I'm arranging to have it filmed from underwater and topside and will be posting the videos within a few days after the event.
