Ouch! I would consider getting a new pair, the other one might break soon. The rubber is the same age.

What did you do to your fin? My fellow enginerd at work thinks it's a fatigue crack

Which logo is on the top of the fin? If it's a circle with the "S" in it, throw the other one away, too, and buy a new pair. If the circle has a lightning bolt through it, it's the post-1984 rubber compound. There's a good chance Scubapro will warranty it and send you a new fin, depending on how much Scubapro your LDS sells.

Yes, that's the pre-1984 model. It will crack soon, too. But don't throw it away - keep it and sell it for ten bucks when someone else needs just one!
